У статті аналізуються лексико-семантичні особливості відтворення номінацій запахів різних родів сиру у романі Еміля Золя "Черево Парижа" і його перекладах українською та англійською. З’ясовано, що існує певний зв’язок між запахом та його сприйняттям у свідомості певного етносу.
The article analyses lexical and semantic features of the sensory experience of cheese in Emile Zola’s novel "The Belly of Paris" and its Ukrainian and English translations. It was found out that there is a connection between a smell and its perception in the consciousness of a certain ethnic group.
