Abstract
З’ясовано синтаксичний статус ад’єктива в конструкціях структурної моделі S1+Vf+Adj1,5. Висвітлено переваги й недоліки кожного з відомих потрактувань ролі цього компонента в реченні, показано його дериваційну природу, аргументовано його функцію складника подвійного присудка на формально-граматичному рівні, вторинного предиката на семантико-синтаксичному рівні та реми висловлення на комунікативному рівні.
Different scholars have studied grammatical peculiarities of the constructions of the structural model S1+Vf+Adj1,5. Although there is no one uncontroversial qualification of its syntactic organization. That’s why the purpose of the paper is to reflect the known solutions of this problem and prove the syntactic role of an adjective in the constructions of the structural model S1+Vf+Adj1,5. The paper deals with the analysis of the function of such adjectives on the formal-grammatical, semantic-syntactic and communicative levels of sentence’s organization. The multidimensional approach to analysis of a sentence is realized here. According to it, the derivational core of the adjective in S1+Vf+Adj1,5-constructions is underscored. This adjective’s appearance in the structure of the sentence is the result of incorporation of two elementary sentences, one of them has predicate expressing by a stage-level verb and the other has predicate expressing by an individual-level verb "to be" and an adjective. The adjective does not lose the predicative quality in the derivative sentence, so its function on the semantic-syntactic level is the secondary predicate. This adjective realises the predicative syntactic connection with a subject separately from a verb and expresses independent predicative semantics, that’s why it is a constituent of the double-predicate on the formal-grammatical level. And because of the adjective’s concentrating the new information of the sentence it is the rheme on the communicative level.
