До питання про функціональне використання Т­-подібних бляшок в поясних наборах "геральдичного" стилю

Abstract

Стаття присвячена проблемі практичного використання Т-подібних бляшок та їх функціональним характеристикам. Наводиться опис даних експериментальної реконструкції.

T-shaped plaques performed both practical and purely decorative function. When using they played the role of fasteners. In such cases, they were attached to the additional belts down the crossbar. The advantage of the Tshaped plaques over buckles is the ability to more quickly fasten or unfasten. It fastened with metal or leather hinge. The latter option is more practical. The experiment also showed that one such fastener reliably withstand the weight of up to 2 kg. This indicates the possibility of hanging to his belt by a T-shaped plaques of quite heavy objects, like a sword or a quiver of arrows.
