Сучасна українська культурна модель романтичних стосунків серед київської молоді

Abstract

У статті розглянуто елементи культурного світогляду, що впливають на входження української молоді в романтичні стосунки, їх підтримання та розірвання. Праця базується на емпіричному дослідженні, що проводилося навесні 2015 р. серед молодих мешканців м. Києва обох статей (N = 162). Дослідження, побудоване за послідовним двофазовим дизайном, інтегрувало дані, зібрані якісними та кількісними методами, щоб дізнатися про превалентні уявлення київської молоді, котра виходить на шлюбний ринок, про романтичні стосунки. Результати вказують, що респонденти чоловічої та жіночої статей першопочатково мають не тільки різні уявлення та критерії стосовно ідеальних партнерів/партнерок, а й розбіжні очікування щодо романтичних стосунків, наголошуючи на різних їх вимірах.

The article focuses on the elements of the cultural worldview that affect entering romantic relationships, as well as their maintenance and dissolution among the Ukrainian youth. The project relies on the empirical data collected among the young men and women (N = 162) who resided in Kyiv in Spring 2015. The research was conducted by deploying a two-phase integrative design combining quantitative and qualitative methods of data collection and analysis in order to explore the range of beliefs regarding romantic relationships prevalent among the young residents of Kyiv entering the marriage market. The results suggest that not only do male and female respondents have different belief structures and criteria of choosing an ideal partner, but they also have divergent expectations with respect to the romantic attachments as such, thus stressing the importance of different dimensions of romantic relationships. In addition to the empirical results, we also offer a brief overview of the basic principles of the cultural models theory and outline the characteristic features of the intellectual climate and research agenda under which this theoretical framework has emerged and become widespread. At the same time, the article is an attempt to delineate one of the quantitative strategies available to the researchers of cultural models (D’Andrade & Strauss, 1992).
