Процес розвитку дослідної справи з питань сільського господарства в Україні має давні корені. У статті висвітлено історичні та економічні передумови створення мережі сільськогосподарських дослідних установ в Україні, головні напрями їхньої діяльності у XIX-на початку XX століття.
