Self-awareness is often identified with self-concept. Self-concept is a set of all an individual's ideas about himself or herself and their assessment. The descriptive component of the self-concept is the self-image, and the attitude to oneself is self-esteem or self-acceptance. This allows us to consider the self-concept as a set of attitudes directed at oneself, since specific behavioral reactions develop on the basis of self-image and self-esteem. By enriching the assessment of others with age, a person gradually enriches his or her own self-awareness. Self-knowledge plays a huge role in this process, i.e., the study of one's own characteristics: physical, mental, moral, and self-esteem, which is formed on this basis. Learning Object
