Головну увагу приділено низці питань, які сама медична спільнота порушувала і виносила на міжнародне обговорення у зв’язку з використанням радянськими колегами медицини з каральною метою. Також представлено еволюцію поглядів західних медиків на проблему. The article discusses the attitude of Western doctors to the problem of abuse of psychiatry in the Soviet Union for political purposes in the 1960–80s. The main attention is paid to a number of questions that were raised and brought for discussion inside the international medical community because of the fact of using punitive medicine by Soviet colleges.
