In the case of this mentioned synthesis, images shaped by the political context related to the functioning of power are actualized. The corresponding monuments, as symbols of nation-building, serve as material embodiments of "state memory". They are primarily subject to mnemocide, a form of deliberate struggle against memory by aggressors, which is traced in the report through specific examples from the course of the Russian-Ukrainian war. Specifically, it highlights the missile attack from the Russian Federation that occurred on October 10, 2022, targeting the memorials in Kyiv: the column of Magdeburg Law, monuments to T. Shevchenko, M. Hrushevsky, and Prince Volodymyr.
