The perspective for the creation of the new geopolitical reality called «Eurasia» seems to become rather real. Therefore the article analyses the historical background of the Eurasian doctrine while paying special attention to basic ideas and concepts of the doctrine and the Eurasian world outlook as such. It further investigates the gradual evolution of the doctrine from the time of its creation till modernity.У роботі розглянуто історичні підвалини, головні ідеї й поняття євразійської доктрини. Зроблено спробу дослідження методологічних засад євразійства, що дали підґрунтя для формування євразійської ідеології. Розглянуто основні концепти доктрини та коротко охарактеризовано їх змістовну сутність.
