It is shown that the political and economic institutions in Ukraine are of definitely extractive character though recently political system goes through the processes of transition to inclusiveness. Benefits and threats of the decentralization processes are discussed in the context of inclusive political institutions strengthening.На основі інституційного підходу з позицій ролі інклюзивних та екстрактивних інститутів у національному розвитку розглянуто основні проблеми й перспективи політичного розвитку України. Показано, що в Україні політичні й економічні інститути мають яскраво виражений екстрактивний характер, хоча останнім часом у політичній системі спостерігаються процеси переходу до інклюзивності.
