Movchanivsky's and I. Ivantsov's biographies which are the brilliant representatives of repressioned generation. During his life I. Ivantsov was studying the history of ancient Kyiv and the history of Cossacks period. His monograph "Ancient Kyiv" is one of the best researches in these themes. Being archivist, archaeologist and student of local lore T. Movchanivskyi devoted his short life to the studying and preserving monuments of Ukrainian archaeology, history and culture.
