University libraries in Ukraine solve the problem of information support of users through the use of information communication technologies and computer equipment. The National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Library is an educational, informational, scientific, technical, and cultural center of the university that provides quick and convenient access to all information resources and presents an integral part of the educational, methodical, and scientific research processes of the university. In order to provide the library users with the information needs of high quality and relevant information, KMA librarians analyze the national and foreign book markets and participate in book fairs like Lviv Book Forum, Book Arsenal and others. They also subscribe printed and digital periodicals, and take part on regular book exchange with other university libraries. The highest percentage of revenue into the KMA library are book donations from private persons and other organisations. The library collection is fully represented in the electronic catalog and is avaliable for all students and professors of The National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. This catalog allows all the users to quickly find the relevant information according to the consumer’s requests. In addition, there is an option to see new library arrivals for different periods and branches of knowledge, for example, over the latest 7, 14, 21 days. This article regards peculiarities of the acquisition process in the modern Ukrainian university library on the example of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy Library.
