Journalists and media workers faced escalating risks both while on assignment and in their daily lives, navigating an environment subject to continuous physical and digital threats. This report, conducted based upon UNESCO’s Journalists’ Safety Indicators (JSI), and covering the period from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2022, is based on a multi-faceted approach, combining stakeholder interviews with extensive desk research, and data analysis.
