Particular attention is paid to the visibility and palpability of the epic hero 's so called organs, as well as to their special one-dimensionality where the «inner» and the «outer» are not distinguished. Although Homeric man has a body, he is not identical to it, which is only stressed with the concrete corporeal images (optical, outer) in depictions of man.У статті порушено проблему співвідношення людини і тіла в гомерівському епосі. Акцентується, зокрема, на видимості та відчутності «органів» епічного героя, на їхній своєрідній одновимірності, де не розрізняються «внутрішнє» та «зовнішнє». Людина Гомера, хоча й має тіло, не ідентична йому.
