The article presents algorithm of construction of the nominal scale of the value-positive personality traits as an instrument for the sociological research of the value orientations towards personality traits. The issue of topicality of the above research from the point of view of the last tendencies in the development of the sociological theory is also considered in the article.Соціологічні дослідження ставлення членів суспільства до особистісних якостей людей дають можливість зробити певні висновки про коло тих цінностей, що культивуються в даному суспільстві.
