Abstract
The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between the structure of capital and operating expenditures and the financial performance of large publicly listed companies in four developing countries, India, Brazil, South Africa, and Indonesia – and to develop practical recommendations for improving cost management in the environments of developing economies.
