Стаття присвячена теоретичним новаціям, що відбувалися у вітчизняній історіографії під впливом поширення позитивістської філософії у другій половині XIX століття. Головна увага приділяється проблемам теорії історичного процесу, головним категоріям його осмислення у працях В. Авсеенко, M. Драгоманова, В. Іконникова, І Лучицького, П. Павлова та ін.
The article deals with theoretical innovations under the influence of spreading the philosophy of positivism in the second half of the 19lh cent. The main attention is paid to the problems of historical process and principial categories of its comprehension in the works of V. Avseenko, M. Dragomanov, V. Ikonnikov, I. Luchitsky, P. Petrov etc.
