Abstract:
У статті розглянуто головні етапи розвитку теорії масового суспільства, виникнення якої пов 'язане
з революційними перетвореннями в Європі й Америці, підходи до розуміння поняття «маси», транс-
формацію відповідних поглядів, а також риси масового суспільства, що визначають особливості його
членів. Наведено засади й порівняльний аналіз аристократичної та демократичної критики масового
суспільства.

to the definition of the term "mass"; the transformation of corresponding ideas; features of mass society, that
determine its members 'peculiarities. The main principles and comparative analysis of aristocratic and democratic
