Abstract:
У статті розглядається підхід до вивчення внутрішньої будови осередків наукової діяльності (університетів), запропонований французьким соціологом П. Бурдьє. Аналізуючи, як соціальний капітал конвертується в позиції в університетському полі, Бурдьє на засадах виокремлення двох видів капіталу – наукового й університетського – демонструє механізм відтворення в часі статусної ієрархії та пов’язаних із нею можливостей здійснення влади в межах закладу вищої освіти.

The article is devoted to the examination of approach to the study of internal structure of centers of scientific research activity – universities – proposed by French sociologist P. Bourdieu. Analyzing the way the social capital is being converted into positions in the university field, Bourdieu, singling out the two types of capital – scientific and university – shows the mechanism of restoration in time of status hierarchy and the related possibilities of exercising power within the institution of higher education.
