Abstract:
В статті представлено сучасний стан глобальної тютюнової епідемії та провідні стратегії її подолання, визначені Рамковою Конвенцією ВООЗ із боротьби проти тютюну. Наведено дані щодо поширення тютюнопаління в Україні, висвітлено запроваджені в країні заходи щодо зменшення шкідливого впливу тютюну на здоров'я населення, перспективи та шляхи протидії тютюновій епідемії, контролю над тютюном.

The modern state of global tobacco epidemic and leading strategies of its overcoming proposed in the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control are presented in the article. The data concerning smoking prevalence in Ukraine, the measures aimed to decrease the harmful influence of tobacco on a health of the population, prospects and ways of counteraction the tobacco epidemic, tobacco control are shown.
