Abstract
The need for taking into account the transposition changes of words when studying the nature of a word combination as a syntactic unit is proved. Consequently, the main approaches to the definition of transposition and its volume are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the detailed analysis of the L. Tenier’s theory of translation.
