У розвідці йдеться про особливості дослідження та зіставлення найбільш вживаних тропів у поезії Тараса Шевченка: метафор, демінутивів та прагматичних одиниць тексту. Будучи об’єктом нашого дослідження, поема Тараса Шевченка "Катерина", є однією з найбільш перекладених поезій цього поета, а дослідження та зіставлення перекладу цього твору творів є вкрай важливою як у плані виявлення особливостей національної мови, так і в плані розвитку перекладацької думки.
The investigation deals with the peculiarities of the study and comparison of the most used tropes in Taras Shevchenko's poetry: metaphors, diminutives and pragmatic units of the text. As the object of our research, Taras Shevchenko’s poem “Kateryna” is one of the most translated poems of this poet. The research and comparison of the translation of this work as well is extremely important both in terms of identifying the features of the national language and in terms of translation thought.
