Вклад ориенталистов Академии наук Украины в развитие хазароведения

Abstract

В текущем 2018 г. научная общественность отмечает знаменательную дату – 100-летие Национальной академии наук Украины. Любопытный факт: в том, что мы празднуем теперь именно этот юбилей, есть личная заслуга Леси Васильевны Матвеевой, которая была директором Института востоковедения им. А. Е. Крымского в 1999– 2012 годы. Леся Васильевна вспоминает, что до 1989 г. считалось, будто Украинскую академию наук основали большевики в 1919 г. И поэтому общественность тогда еще советской Украины готовилась в 1989 г. торжественно отметить 70-летие Академии наук УССР. Однако тогда же Л. В. Матвеева нашла в одном из архивов Киева указ гетмана П. Скоропадского об учреждении Украинской академии наук, датированный 1918 годом. Ее сенсационная находка заставила заново переписать историю Академии наук Украины, а все запланированные торжественные мероприятия по случаю ее 70-летия были отменены. Установленная Л. В. Матвеевой, более ранняя дата основания Академии наук Украины нашла подтверждение и в других документах и воспоминаниях участников тех событий.

The Ukrainian Academy of sciences was founded by P. Skoropadsky in 1918. Therefore we celebrate this anniversary in this year. The fi rst Academian secretary of the Ukrainian Academy of sciences was A. Ye. Krymsky. He was the founder of Ukrainian Oriental studies as well. A. Ye. Krymsky wrote "The History of Khazars". Unfortunately, only the so called "first part" of this book was published several years ago. It was written according to the main position of “N. Marr’s theory”. According to the correspondence between A. Ye. Krymsky and his colleagues, we can believe that A. Ye. Krymsky could write this part monograph of monograph in 1936 during the of J. Stalin’s repressions. Thus, it was the forced step from A. Ye. Krymsky. The so called "second part" of "The History of Khazars" by A. Ye. Krymsky has the great importance because it is the fi rst datailed history of Khazars according to the chronological principle. Unfortunately, this part has not the beginning and also the end. Now it is not published yet. So, after the A. Ye. Krymsky’s death in 1942 the Oriental studies ceased in the Ukrainian Academy of sciences. Only in 1991 the Oriental studies were revived in the Ukrainian Academy of sciences because the A. Krymsky’s Institute of Oriental studies was founded by the follower and apprentice of A. Ye. Krymsky – Harvard University professor Omeljan Pritsak. He was also the major specialist on the Khazar studies. As result, the Khazar problems are present in the editions and conferences of the Institute of Oriental studies. Among its we can see "Khazar Almanac" which became the unic international scholar annual edition.
