Кожна людина, особливо в молодому віці, є творцем власної культури й самого
себе. З одного боку, культура – спосіб пізнання, засвоєння та примноження знань про
навколишній світ, а з іншого – інструмент самосвідомості, самореалізації, формування цінностей, ідеалів, пошуків сенсу життя та втілення їх у реальних компонентах,
що становлять життєвий простір (у тому числі особисте інформаційне поле). З певною мірою наближення до істини, інструментом розвитку самосвідомості та вдосконалення культури можна назвати й медіадискурс. У кінці ХХ ст. в усіх соціокультурних процесах став істотно "відчуватися" вплив мас-медіа, а вже через півтора десятиліття від початку ХХI ст. став набувати вагомого значення (особливо в містах)
вплив Інтернету й соціальних мереж. Стандартазиція підходів до медіаграмотності
як важливої складової загальної культури споживання медіапродукції є сьогодні нагальним завданням не лише медіапсихологів та педагогів, а й соціологів масових комунікацій.
Every person, especially at a young age, is the creator of his own culture and himself.
On the one hand, culture as a way of knowing, learning and raising knowledge about the surrounding world, and on the other hand – as an instrument of self–awareness, self–realization,
the formation of values, ideals, the search for the meaning of life and their embodiment in the
real components that make up the living space (v. h. personal information field). With some
degree of approach to the truth, a tool for the development of self–awareness and the improvement of culture can also be called media discourse. At the end of the twentieth century,
the influence of the mass media began to be felt in all socio–cultural processes, and after half
a decade from the beginning of the twenty–first century, the influence of the Internet and social networks began to be of great importance (especially in the cities). Among the existing
approaches to the study of sociology of personality – as a special field of contemporary sociology – the leading positions occupy the psychologically "oriented" approaches, which are
the most profound, weighed and traditionally consistent. It is in the context of these psychologically oriented methodological approaches that reveal and analyze so-called "personal
structures". The latter implies holistic "internal complexes" that motivate and motivate
changes both in the individual, and in the forms of his subject and communicative activity.
Media behavior (both from socio-psychological and sociological point of view) is a definite
indicator for revealing the manifestations of media literacy. As articulated above, the selfidentification of a person assumes a rather highly developed intrasubjectivity, based on the
depth of individual values, beliefs. These qualities that are necessary for mastering the skills
of media literacy, which is extremely necessary in today’s conditions of the growing wave of
fake information. The standardization of approaches to media literacy as an important component of the general culture of media consumption is today a pressing task not only for media psychologists and educators, but also for mass media sociologists.
