Актуальні питання зародження та формування раннього Києва

Abstract

Ha підставі комплексного дослідження історичної стратиграфії Нижнього міста у зіставленні з побутуванням поселень у Верхньому місті автором запропоновано новий погляд на зародження Києва.

Archaeological study of the territory and the historical stratigraphy of the Lower Town - Podol showed, that beginning from the last quarter of the IX cent. (dendrochronological date is 887 year), the inhasitans of the district, which had formed on the vast and convenient sandy terrace near the river, from the beginning of the origin had to fight constantly with the natural cataclisms such as floods and landslips, which regulary covered the streets and entire blocks with the layers of sond. But this fact doesn't stop the forming of the regular farmstead building and to the end of the Xth cent. More than 150 hectares of the territory have been developed. In more laterperiod (XI-XIIIth cent.) it increased only on 10-20 hectares. Basing on these facts and confirming them with the thoroughly worked up chronology of this process, built on the analysis and the comparison with the archaeological materials of the Upper Town, the author shows the mechanism and reconstructs the picture of forming of the relief of this part of the town, beside this, he also makes the supposition, about the belonging of the part of the barrow burial ground, found on the upper stage of Kyiv plateau dated of the second half of the XIth - the first half of the Xth centuries, to the Podol inhabitants.
