У статті розглянуто композицію "Читання про Бориса і Гліба" прп. Нестора, головні компоненти якої походять із візантійської житійної прози, а ще глибше - з античності, та запозичення їх руським книжником як взірців. Авторка намагається також дослідити традиційні топоси, спільні для різних агіографічних піджанрів, і топоси власне княжих житій, що щільно пов'язані з композицією тексту.
The article deals with the contexture of the "Reading of Boris and Hlib" by St Nestor, the main components of which are derived from Byzantine hagiographic literature, and even deeper - from antiquity and the adoption of Rus' scholar as samples. The author also tries to explore the traditional topos common to the various sub-genres and hagiographic
topos own princely lives that are closely related to the composition of the text.
