Психологізм у творчості Ф. Моріака

Abstract

Статтю присвячено дослідженню психологізму у творчості видатного французького письменника Ф. Моріака. Психологізм як спосіб зображення душевного життя для цього митця є одною з найбільш притаманних рис в аспекті художніх засобів. Моріаківська зосередженість на внутрішньому житті своїх героїв є втіленням філософських ідей та розвитком письменницьких традицій французьких та російських митців. Важливою рисою моріаківського психологізму є його гармонійне поєднання з моралізмом, який водночас не відкидає вірності правді життя. Письменник використовує сумарно означувальну форму психологізму, яка включає в себе як непрямий психологізм, так і прямий.

The article offers the research of psychologism in the works of the well-known French writer Francois Mauriac. For him, psychologism as a way to depict the psychical life is one of the most characteristic traits, in the aspect of artistic means. Mauriac’s concentration on the inner life of his characters is a personification of philosophical ideas and development of French and Russian writers’ traditions. In his works, Mauriac implemented Michel de Montaigne’s concept of the human nature’s complexity, included the key moments of Blaise Pascal’s and Rene Descartes’ perception of a human being, Henri Bergson’s principles, and conclusions of Freudian surveys. An important feature of mauriacian psychologism is its harmonious combination with moralism, which at the same time does not throw out the truth of life. Mauriac uses the form of psychologism which combines both its direct and indirect forms. Thus, for example, the nature descriptions, which are the key ones to depict the characters’ emotions, are the means of indirect psychologism. The striking display of direct psychologism in Mauriac’s works is the usage of inner monologues.
