Description
The article deals with the contents, the structure and the composition of obligatory communicative situations and their linguistic representation in the Ukrainian language on the background of the categorical semantics, the structure and the function of imperative on the material of the novel by O. Honchar «Man and weapons». It has been proved that the repertoire and the content of peremptory situations depend on the addressee, and the main indicator of the morphological situation is the person and number of verbs. It has been defined that the novel presents five of six possible peremptory situations of extra-linguistic reality. The most frequent and nuclear content of the imperative are the first and second peremptory situations that arise when S1 (the subject of will expression) addresses the statements S2 (subject-addressee, he is also the subject to the contractor: C2=C3) in order to transform non-real at the moment of speech action of t1 into the real action of t2. The third imperative is a situation when S1 (the subject of will expression) addresses the statements to S2 (subject-addressee, he is subject to the contractor), which encourages people to take action together. This situation reproduces the 1-person plural of the verb which is called form of joint action. It fits closer to the semantic centre in the personal paradigm of the imperative, making half-nuclear area of imperative. The fourth imperative is the situation when S1 (the subject of will expression) addresses the statements S2 (subject-addressee) and the executor acts as S3 (the principal contractor) who participate in the conversation. S2 and S3 are not identical in the situation, the purpose of which is to turn non-real at the moment of speech action of t1 into the real action of t2. The fifth imperative is a duplicate of the fourth, however has its own specific features: the subject of will expression S1 addresses the statements of the subject-addressee S2, which is the intermediary between the speaker and the contractor, and the contractor is C3 who is missing during the conversation. The speaker suggests that to implement the action or state in order to transform non-real at the moment of speech action of t1 to t2 real action, it is important to have two or more people, so a predicate centre of a sentence-utterance is the verb in the form of the 3rd person plural imperative.
