У праці розглянуто процес відродження чеської мови у ХVІІІ–ХІХ століттях, специфіку підходу різних діячів культури і науки до зазначеного питання, проведено певні паралелі з мовною ситуацією в Україні, подано маловідомі факти українсько-чеських контактів.
The article deals with the process of revival of the Czech language in 18th – 19th centuries, specifi c approach of different scientists and culture fi gures to the matter. The certain parallels are carried out with the language situation in Ukraine. The research presents some little known facts of Ukraine-Czech contacts.
