Abstract
In this article an attempt of literary comprehension of Yu.V. Sheveliov's (Shereh' s) book «I - me - me (and around). Recollection» («Ya - mené - meni (i dovkrugy). Spomyny») is made. One of the possible
methods (Bildungs Roman) to interpret the memories of the famous contemporary philologist is offered. The literary and linguistic components of scientific biography are analysed.
