Abstract
The article summarizes research that was aimed at the investigation of the development stages of the Clubhouse model and its meaning for the social functioning of people with mental health problems. The research took place in October 1999 — April 2000. Investigation gave a chance to study and describe the peculiarities of the development process for the first time as well as analyze the dynamics of its changes as a result of the intervention. Also the researcher proposed methods for the dissemination of the system of Clubhouses in Ukraine.
