Abstract
This article is dedicated to the brilliant French sociologist G. LeBon, whose scientific heritage even now not well known over the territiry of the former USSR. The article proves that he was a founder of the social psychology and the psychology of the masses; also the article describes the LeBon's scientific contribution in sociology.
